Mona Mistry
Mona moved to the Northern Virginia area after graduating with her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in 2006. As a new graduate, she practiced at Inova Alexandria, rotating between the cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic departments. She gradually transitioned to outpatient care, treating both orthopedic and pelvic floor diagnoses. In 2016, she moved to Atlanta to work for the Northside healthcare system. She worked with a team of pelvic floor therapists and cared for patients who were undergoing gynecological cancer treatment for prostate, colorectal, and uterine cancers. She also worked with doctors who specialized in endometrial excision and pelvic pain.
For over 10 years now, Mona has been focusing on furthering her pelvic floor knowledge base treating diagnoses such as urinary frequency, pelvic prolapse, pelvic pain and urinary and fecal incontinence in both male and female patients. She has a Pelvic Rehabilitation and Practitioner Certification and is currently working on becoming a certified yoga instructor. She believes that pelvic floor therapy requires a holistic approach to healing and she is excited to work with the Medical Loudoun Group to continue helping people through interactive and hands on healing.
During her free time, Mona enjoys hiking, baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
